Pacific Highway Upgrade

On Wednesday evening myself and 3 friends attended the "Save Ballina Koalas" meeting. Congrats to the organisors and speaks for a very interesting and informative meeting.
I have to say I thought the behaviour of the small group of residents from Wardell was disgusting and uncalled for. They were obviously out for a fight and unfortunately Councillor Jeff Johnson had to end the meeting. Their rude and aggressive behaviour left me feeling little respect for any of their opinions and further increased my resolve to help the campaign to have the highway deviation not going through a major, super important wildlife habitat. The roads Minister and RMS are dreamin when they say they have overwhelming support... I think 50,000 petition signatures against the highway is proof enough that there are many in the Community who are concerned about how and where the route has been planned.
