BRENDON John Hodda has been hit with the maximum sentence that can be handed down in Hervey Bay Magistrates Court after a drug-fuelled crime spree.

Hodda, 35, pleaded guilty to 18 charges, which took place between Bundaberg and Gympie from February 8 to 17 and was handed a three-year prison sentence.

Hodda's solicitor, Daniel Olde, said his client could not even remember many of the offences, due to Hodda's "drug-induced state" at the time.

Police prosecutor Senior Constable Nicole Kunkel said Hodda's crimes were committed in Bundaberg, Thabeban, Theebine, Tinana, Glenwood, Curra and Gympie.

Most of the crimes related to stealing, with the largest offence being the theft of 29 items from a mobile phone shop in Bundaberg.

The most serious traffic offences included stealing two vehicles, and fleeing from the police at speeds of up to 190kmh.

Hodda's licence was disqualified for three years and he was ordered to pay more than $2000 restitution for the various thefts, along with the three-year prison sentence.

He will be eligible for parole in November, 2014.
