Noosacare’s vision of freedom to make lifestyle choices

WHAT do you do in your spare time? Road trips to your favourite picnic spots? Singing and dancing to your favourite music?

Perhaps you enjoy gardening, exercise classes, taking some time out to walk among the beautiful outdoors or even just a coffee and a nice long chat with friends.

Lifestyle means something different to everyone and no matter what your age you live a lifestyle that suits you, because EVERYONE loves to have fun.

It comes as no surprise that we are living longer, better, fuller lives and lifestyle and social interaction play a huge part in that.

Lifestyle in aged care isn't always something that goes hand in hand, however Noosacare's vision is to provide a future where people continue to make lifestyle choices as they age.

For those moments you want to get out and about to our beautiful Noosa beaches and hinterland surrounds, to the days where all you want to do is to catch up on the local news with a cuppa, our activities and lifestyle programs are tailored to suit the individual.

Carramar at Tewantin and Kabara at Cooroy both hold monthly resident meetings where everyone is encouraged to voice any concerns, tell us how we can improve and of course stay in the loop of exciting events and happenings for the month.

Noosacare CEO Megan D'Elton recently asked our residents what they like about living at Noosacare.

They said that they love the 'bus trips around the beautiful countryside where the bus drivers are always chatty and full of information.

Noosacare offers the option of two bus trips daily each with different destinations… because obviously the sunshine coast is too beautiful to not explore.

Other residents love that there is no housework so they are able to enjoy and discover the vast choice of activities provided at both sites.

Diversional Therapist Craig Barnes said "I once had a resident tell me that we are like cruise ship that doesn't leave the dock!"

Amongst all the amazing things that make a lifestyle at Noosacare, perhaps one of the most important comments was, "that this is home".
