Noosa Longweekend: three great mates in one class act

MICHEAL Falzon, Luke Kennedy and Rob Mills' are not only great mates, they are also huge talents that have wowed audiences across the globe in hit shows such as 'Rock of Ages', 'We Will Rock You', 'The Voice', 'Legally Blonde', 'Grease', 'Ghost' and 'The Ten Tenors'.  And now they are combining their talents to treat us to 'Swing on This', the fabulous final main stage performance at this year's Noosa Long Weekend Festival.

Created by Michael Falzon and backed by a big 9 piece orchestra, the show is an audacious take on the all- time swing classics, plus their own arrangements of rock and pop songs spanning four decades.

As Michael explained, "This is a genre everyone likes, the audience and the artists. We have a laugh and take the mickey out of each other while we sing the proverbial out of some really cool material.

"Some years ago I had the idea that it would be nice to perform with some of my mates. I figured if people wanted to come and see us in various shows or tuned in on tele, why not see us all together? Certainly no producer had a show going for FOUR leading men so it would be up to me to devise one."

Luke Kennedy said, "When Michael started talking to me about 'Swing on This' right away I knew it was going to be incredible fun, world class and totally different to what people had seen before. The music is rich and energetic but it's the arrangements and the on-stage chemistry and banter that sets this show apart from other swing acts"

Michael's a former Queenslander, and Rob spends so much time in Noosa he's practically a local (thanks to his addiction to Bette's Burgers), so it's definitely going to feel like a home crowd for us. Can't wait to find out who our special guest is…not even I know

The third member of the group, Rob Mills, is no stranger to

The Noosa Long Weekend and is always an audience favorite. As he puts it, "I'm thrilled to be coming back to Noosa, swinging up a storm with Swing on This. I love these lads, they're all super stars in their own right. "

And yes, please let Bettie's Burgers know that I'm on my way, I won't have to be Shredding for Shwayze after June".

SO WHO IS THE SPECIAL GUEST? You will have to come along to find out!

'Swing on this' promises to be a fitting finale to what is shaping up as the biggest and brightest Noosa Long Weekend festival ever.
