OPINION: No sympathy for Australians who join ISIS
SOMETIMES, one has to recall the past.
During World Wars One and Two, or any other wars when Australia was involved, anyone who joined the enemy to fight for them was a traitor and subject to a possible death penalty if caught.
So what is the difference between those men/women today, who deliberately leave Australia to join with and fight/kill for the IS/ISIS etc?
After all, those organisations claiming a worldwide Caliphate and the death of all who oppose them, are surely no different from the Nazis etc. Actually, even worse than the Nazis?
So just removing their Australian citizenship is really only a very soft matter.
