MOW Central Coast opens the doors to its restaurants
TO CELEBRATE NSW Seniors Festival this year, Meals on Wheels Central Coast is hosting two community restaurant 'open days', offering local seniors a chance to experience the organisation's Community Restaurants for free.
Guests will enjoy a nutritious two-course lunch, morning and afternoon tea, as well as entertainment and a range of social activities at Meals on Wheels' Bateau Bay restaurant on either Tuesday 7 March or Thursday 9 March. They will have the opportunity to make new friends and learn about the various services that are available to them through Meals on Wheels Central Coast.
"Our clients have a fantastic time in the community restaurants and benefit greatly from the social interaction which the restaurants offer. I am very pleased that we can open up our doors so that others are able to experience the restaurants for themselves," said Meals on Wheels Central Coast's Community Restaurant Coordinator, Lorraine Gosbee.
Meals on Wheels Central Coast has provided nutritious meals and social support to local seniors since 1967. The organisation runs four weekly community restaurants: two at Bateau Bay, one at West Gosford and one at Woy Woy.
The 'open days' are funded by a small grant from the NSW Department of Family and Community Services, and are available to local residents aged 65 years or over who are not existing clients of Meals on Wheels.
To make a booking or for further details, please contact Lorraine on 43578444 or 0427026229. There are limited places available and return transport can be arranged at an additional cost.
