Monument for Woombye

ON October 31 we celebrate the 98th anniversary of the Charge of Beersheba at an event in Woombye.

There will be the unveiling of a life sized monument that is a part of the Federal Government 100 year centenary of ANZAC program.

This contemporary monument designed by local artist Jeff Franklin, will be unveiled by Department of Veteran Affairs Minister Hon Stuart Robert MP and Mayor Mark Jamieson will also be in attendance.

At 3.45pm the Street Parade commences, 4pm is the Commemoration Service for the 98th anniversary of the Charge of Beersheba and 4.30pm is the Dedication Ceremony.
