ADELAIDE besties Rosie and Paige seem like the type of women's you'd have a ball with out on the town.
But the usually giggly gals weren't laughing by the end of their instant restaurant on My Kitchen Rules tonight.
A lack of time management was their undoing as they struggled to cater for 12 dinner guests.
Even as their preparations ran behind, the women took time for personal touches at their Big Love Grub instant restaurant by giving each of the five teams personalized slippers, showing how well they've got to know the other teams over the past three episodes.
Their entrée nearly hit the mark, and ended up being their best scoring dish of the night.
"It's OK but there's no wow for me," Pete Evans said.
The lamb is cooked beautifully for sure, but where was the seasoning? The dish lacked seasoning unfortunately, and even the leaves were not dressed."
Fighting to maintain order in the kitchen, the frazzled friends served their main course two hours after the entrée.
"When the pie was placed in front of me I was very excited," Manu Feildel said.
"You've done a great job with it (the pastry); it puffed really well. I felt like the filing was a little like baby food because everything's been chopped too small."
Evans urged the women to take pause and regroup after letting stress creep into their cooking.
Unfortunately it was too late to save their rum raisin ice cream and an overly cautious Paige held back on the spices in her grandmother's gingerbread recipe.
"When I see gingerbread in the menu I 'm looking for that spice hit, and it just feels like you've pulled back because it is very subtle," Evans said.
The duo did enough, though, to out-score Brisbane's Cheryl and Matt, who still sit at the bottom of the leader board.
Mother and son Anna and Jordan will host their instant restaurant tomorrow night.
