Mark Vincent and Tommy Fleming to tour this November
THE stunning voices of Australia's beloved tenor Mark Vincent and "the Voice of Ireland" Tommy Fleming will be combined on stage across the east coast of Australia in November.
Starting in Melbourne on November 1, the pair will perform five concerts in total, including Thirroul (November 2), Caloundra (November 7), Toowoomba (November 8) and Tweed Heads (November 9).
As two of the most talented and popular singers of their time, these great friends will perform a smorgasbord of favourites both together and individually throughout each show backed by some of Australia's best musicians.
Aussie fans will have the rare opportunity to enjoy powerful and unique arrangements of songs ranging from classical crossover to contemporary classics such as "Nessun Dorma", "Danny Boy", "You Raise Me Up" and "Hallelujah" to name a few.
"It is a great honour to have Irish sensation Tommy Fleming share the stage with me to perform a national tour in Australia. We are both very excited about this tour and we look forward to showing Australia what we can do together on stage," Mark said.
Tommy added: "I am very much looking forward to returning to Australia. It will be a pleasure and honour to team up with the wonderful Mark Vincent on what promises to be a very special musical journey featuring some special duets and my usual favorites."
Singing from the age of 15, Mark has released nine consecutive #1 ARIA Classical Crossover Albums and earned accolades both nationally and internationally as one of the world's most talented tenor performers. His last album, A Tribute to Mario Lanza, contains the ground breaking 'virtual duet' of "Because You're Mine" with the Hollywood legend. It debuted at #3 on the ARIA Album Charts, and at #1 on the ARIA Classical Crossover Charts and went on to be the highest selling ARIA Classical Crossover album of 2017.
The 25-year-old singer recently performed alongside Susan Boyle at BBC Proms In The Park in Belfast.
The special event was witnessed by over 10,000 people and featured a stunning duet, with the two singers performing I Dreamed A Dream as the closing number.
"It was truly a dream come true to sing along with Susan Boyle in Belfast. I am in awe of this remarkable woman and I hope we can do it again in the future," Mark said. The event will be telecast in the UK in late September 2019.
Another highlight for Mark this year was making the finals in Eurovision - Australia Decides show in February and releasing his new single This is Not the End during the competition period.
Mark has also headlined national tours and been cast in musical theatre performances such as the Australian production of Dirty Dancing and Dame Julia Andrews' production of My Fair Lady and in 2017 he had a sold-out tour of the UK with international soprano Katherine Jenkins, performing at iconic venues including Royal Albert Hall in London.
Tommy, famous for his own arrangements of Danny Boy, Isle of Inisfree and Hard Times and his covers including You Raise Me Up, Bridge over Troubled Waters, From a Distance and Something Inside So Strong this tour promises to be a hit. In 25 years of performing, he has sold more than three million albums across the globe, had more than 10 million YouTube hits, achieved multi-platinum sales and sold out tours in Ireland, UK, Europe, USA, Australia and Japan.
Tommy has collaborated with international artists including Vince Gill, Elaine Paige, Kenny Rogers, Luci Silvis, Mary Black and featured Mark Vincent on his most recent TV special - Voice of Hope 2 which was recorded live in Ireland in 2018 and toured in early 2019. Both received rave reviews and top chart position after its release.
