Marion to share her quilting skills
WHEN she was a little girl, Marion Marshall loved to watch her grandmother sew.
When she was a little older, her grandmother started to teach her how to do just that. Soon, she dreamed of opening her own quilting store.
That dream came true in September of 2004 when The Quilters Angel at Highfields was opened.
Somewhat of a tourist mecca nowadays, The Quilters Angel has found a location, and a beautiful space that really does emulate a dream - stunning views in a homely setting put locals and tourists at ease, and sets the mood for anyone looking to learn more, about crafting.
For the first time Mrs Marshall is heading to the Craft and Quilt Fair Brisbane from October 5 to 9.
There, she will share her tips and tricks as well as her love for all things craft and fabric from her pop up store.
"We're taking a range of items to showcase the feel about what we're all about," Mrs Marshall said.
"It's our own flavour. We want to showcase our local designers and fabric ranges."
The fair will be held at the Brisbane Exhibition Centre in Southbank.
