COURTNEY Love has pulled out of metal festival Soundwave after finding out her band Hole would be performing before Limp Bizkit (see video, right, note: language warning).

Love engaged in a Twitter war with Soundwave promoters, calling Hole's billing below Limp Bizkit and other headliners System of a Down, Slipknot and Marilyn Manson "sexist claptrap," Fasterlouder.com reported.

"What bloody flight of crazed fancy made you think we'd open for Limp dude? No offence that's nuts," she said.

"I'd love to come but you decide."

Promoter AJ Maddah promised fans he would "get someone bigger" to replace Hole and expressed relief that "we got the moody old cow off the bill".

"[There's] no point taking her back, only for her to cancel later, or turn up & act like a rotten twat to other artists, fans, etc," he said on Twitter.

Soundwave performs several dates around Australia in late February and early March.
