YOUR STORY: Our baby girl Imogen was born 4 weeks early in December 2014.

We were informed 24 hours later of her heart murmur but her prognosis was good.

All of Imogen's medical stats were within good range, her colour was great, she was feeding well and gaining weight.

We were fortunate to bring Imogen home with us from the hospital only six days after she was born.

The normal six week check-up still showed her heart murmur to be present and her Paediatrician along with her GP referred us on to the Paediatric Cardiologist Clinic in Brisbane for further testing.

Later on, Imogen being three months old, we arrived at the appointment thinking that we were going to be informed of how Imogen will live with a heart murmur.

However, we left in a state of disbelief and shock as, after hours of testing, Imogen was diagnosed to have a congenital heart disease called Tetralogy of Fallot.

We were told she would have to undergo open heart surgery in a couple of months' time and if she did not have the operation she would not meet adulthood.

This was extremely hard for us as a family to take in.

We were totally out of our depth and had absolutely no idea what was ahead of us.

Our otherwise seemingly happy and content baby was not as healthy as we thought she was.

With her previously never showing any cyanotic spells signs, we watched her like a hawk although we really didn't know what to look out for.

A month later Imogen took a typical tetralogy spell.

Thankfully, she was not hospitalised as she came well quite quickly and we were due to visit her specialist again in Brisbane a couple of days later.

After meeting with the specialist, Imogen was placed on medication until her surgery.

At the time, placing her on medication felt like another scare.

We read up on all the side effects and were feeling uneasy with this decision.

This is when our relationship with Scott Street Pharmacy evolved.

It was wonderful to have a warm and friendly pharmacist explain the medication to us.

Once Imogen was on her medication we realised it was for the best as we noticed a huge change in her personality and her cheeky, captivating smile shone through.

Up to this point, we would not have emotionally survived the turmoil of being thrown into unknown territory without the support of HeartKids Qld.

Our local pharmacy, Scott Street Pharmacy, were aware of Imogen's story and expressed their interest in supporting the fund that have given so much to our little family already.

August and September are 'Have a Cuppa for HeartKids Qld' months and we were touched to hear that Scott Street Pharmacy has registered to 'Have a Cuppa' to further raise awareness and funds on September 8 from 9.30am-11.30am.

To ensure the day is a good one, Big W Party Store and The Party Hut have come on board to deck the party out in red and white while Sponge Bob will make a special visit thanks to Special Occasions party hire.

Children's Party Stars are also coming along to provide face painting.

While the kids are entertained, the BIG kids can enjoy a cuppa and an array of yummy food supplied by Woolworths, Coles, individuals and Betros Bros.

There are also lots of awesome raffles to win!
