AT MY age, 84 years, and having to live on the age pension, I know that I am not alone in having to be ultra-careful with what I spend.

So I guess that I am not alone in sincerely hoping that the new Budget will not make our lives any more difficult than they already are, by increasing our costs of living.

When determining what will be in the Budget, hopefully those making it will be reasonably considerate in their determination on the costs of foods and electricity, plus other items that so many of us depend upon to stay alive.

All this will determine how very many of us vote in the coming election.
