LETTER: Aged, sick hit hard

THE details about the budget are in the fine print and now that an election has been called, it is worthwhile to look at some of that.

As an example, the elderly and the not so well will find it an extra burden that the bulk billing has been severely cut back and that the co-payment at the doctors has raised its ugly head again.

The same can be said about the Medicare refunds.

These cutbacks will really hurt those on the lower end of the income scale.

Keep that in mind on election day.
