Time for a leadership spill

I don't like the inequity of current LNP policies and I don't believe that the present Government has any credibility but for the individuals within the Federal Liberal Party to maintain any semblance of credibility in a personal sense, a leadership spill must be undertaken at the first party room meeting of 2015.

If they don't, and continue to claim loyalty to Tony Abbott, then they themselves lose any credibility and must claim ownership of the disaster that this Government and Prime Minister are.

As an outsider looking in, I can only say that Tony Abbott is simply incompetent and not up to the job of Prime Minister in anyway.

The poor decisions, the way his message has chopped and changed on a daily basis, the inequity and inconsistency of those messages and the lack of consultation with his colleagues is shambolic.

The lack of clear leadership and direction in our Governance at the moment is abysmal.

Whoever it is within the Federal Liberal Party who has both the courage of their conviction, and the numbers obviously, to challenge for the leadership, I hope that they learn the lesson of consultation and moderation. Is there anybody in the Party Room who is able to put the interests of the Nation and the people ahead of the wallets of their big business mates? I doubt it, but I live in hope.

Along with a new leader, the Government needs a major reshuffle of its Cabinet and a change of heart in its budget. Balance, balance, balance!

Fairness, fairness, fairness! Can I be any clearer? Any cuts to the services of the low income earners needs to be balanced by cuts to high income concessions.

Any co-payments or tax rises to taxpayers needs to be balanced by tax increases to big business. At the moment it's a one way street and the top end of town are having a big win at the expense of the majority of people. It is unfair and plainly wrong.

The LNP have already been exposed with their budget emergency lie, but the structural deficit of the budget does need to be addressed. If it is addressed in a fair manner as described above and properly explained to the people it will be supported. The current budget was not fair, it was not balanced and it was rightly criticised and rejected.

Tony Abbott is a lost cause and for the good of the Country he has to go. My one personal request to the 'new' Government for the good of the Country's future is:

Please build a fibre NBN. We will be a 20th Century backwater by 2030 if you don't.
