Ladies frock up for Buderim bowls club's 60th birthday

LADIES of all abilities, ages and professions came together last Tuesday to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Buderim Ladies Bowling Club.

President Sandy King welcomed everyone at the luncheon and detailed a little of the club's history, which was founded in 1956 with nothing but a loan and 24 dedicated enthusiasts.

"It was lovely to see the ladies dressed for the occasion and leaving the bowls uniform at home for the day," she said.

"Everyone enjoyed themselves as they had the opportunity to renew friendships and meet other club members as well as enjoying a delicious meal.

"It was a very happy atmosphere and a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon."
