Kirsten strikes back at claims material funded by taxpayers

A SPOKESWOMAN from Kirsten Livermore's office yesterday said the Member for Capricornia would continue to do all she could to ensure the community knew the impact LNP policies would have on education.

The LNP yesterday referred election material put out by Ms Livermore to the Department of Finance for investigation into potential misuse of taxpayer funds and also claimed the material contained inaccurate information.

Ms Livermore's office hit back.

"It is important to note that the type of material being questioned has been approved previously under appropriate guidelines," the spokeswoman said in an emailed statement.

"The LNP is on the record opposing these types of positive education programs.

"We will continue to do all we can to ensure the local community knows the consequences of allowing the Conservatives to put their short sighted policies in place," the spokeswoman said.

"Tony Abbott wants to keep the current school funding system which would see schools worse off to the tune of more than $16 billion."

If the Federal election for 2013 was held tomorrow, who would you vote to represent Capricornia?
