
Kingswood Country star Ross Higgins dies, aged 85
THE much-loved star of Kingswood Country, character and comic actor Ross Higgins has died, aged 85.
The star, who played the Holden-loving dad Ted Bullpitt on the popular Australian from 1980 to 1984 on the Seven Network, was also well known for voicing the animated character Louie the Fly in Mortein fly-spray commercials.
It is understood that Mr Higgins died in hospital and had been unwell for some time.
A spokesperson for the Seven Network told AAP: "Ross Higgins was a perfectionist in everything he took on. He had a brilliant understanding of comedy and a sharp sense of comedic timing."
Higgins is survived by his wife Nadine and four children.
