Join the Red Cross Big Cake Bake on August 31

RED Cross is urging us all to remember the work of Red Cross volunteers by baking a batch of Anzac biscuits for this year's Red Cross Big Cake Bake.

Anzac biscuits are part of the legend, history and story of Australia.

The NZ version of the biscuit legend goes back to a recipe for Scottish oat cakes popular with Scottish settlers in Dunedin.

The official Red Cross Big Cake Day is on August 31, however Anzac biscuit bake-offs can be organised anywhere, anytime during August.
