The $75 million vista of the Hills District

RETIREES in the Hills District have plenty of reason to be celebrating with the official opening Waratah, stage one of Aveo Group's $400 million retirement community Aveo Bella Vista.

With a price tag of $75 million, the opening stage offers 64 independent living apartments across nine levels of living, ranging in size from one, two and three bedrooms priced from $599,000, with penthouses available on level 9 from $1,159,000.

Aveo Group CEO Geoff Grady, Member for Mitchell Alex Hawke MP and Hills Shire Council Mayor Dr Michelle Byrne opened the retirement community with is located within Mulpha's $3 billion Norwest project near Sydney in New South Wales.

Aveo Group CEO Geoff Grady said the new community represents the future of retirement living and reflects the changing tastes of today's seniors who are seeking modern, five-star facilities, the best in on-site health care and lifestyle living to ensure they can age in place.

"What attracted me to come into Bella Vista was the difference - it was brand new and central to us both for family, it was a very easy decision for me to make," Lee said. 

"I won't have a big house to look after, I have the security and no more lawns to mow, mine is a one bedroom apartment and it's unbelievable, it's so large - my bedroom is enormous."  

"I just love this location, it is so close even from where we were - we can still do everything in our surrounds, it's just wonderful," Marilyn added.

Waratah offers amenities similar to that of a 5-star hotel including a resident waterfront bistro and bar, snooker lounge and function areas, all accessed via a grand central hotel style lobby.

It will also has an on site health and wellness suite which will include GP and allied health services such as podiatry, massage, physiotherapy and clinical care.
