Cheapest fuel prices in the region

HERVEY BAY recorded the cheapest fuel prices in the Wide Bay Burnett region this week.

A survey of petrol stations by the Royal Automobile Club of Queensland revealed non-discounted unleaded on offer for 150.2 cents a litre in Hervey Bay.

Childers had the most expensive petrol, with unleaded retailing at 154.5 cents a litre.

Diesel was cheapest in Bundaberg with a litre costing 151.7 cents.

The prices reflect the average prices from retail outlets surveyed by the RACQ in each listed regional centre.

Motor Trades Association of Queensland has the Service Station Association of Queensland under its umbrella.

MTA policy director Greg Milne urged Hervey Bay motorists to fill up while the going was good - with prices high over the Easter break.

"Hervey Bay is fortunate to be enjoying low prices compared to the rest of the region but it is just part of a cycle," he said.
