Hervey Bay fundraising event for Vanuatu cyclone relief

ProMedical a charity in Port Vila Vanuatu provided some of the first post cyclone assistance and relief after Cyclone Pam struck many of the islands in Vanuatu on 13 March 2015.

ProMedical and their small but enthusiastic staff were supported by many volunteers to clear the road to the airport for emergency aid aircraft and began within a short period of time distributing water, food and medical supplies around the island of Efate.

A group of Hervey Bay residents coordinated by Margaret Manning have recently held a very successful fundraising event where $1,370 was raised to support the efforts of ProMedical.

The Port Vila Community and ProMedical are very appreciative of all the time and effort put in by this group of people and look forward to one day welcoming them to our beautiful country.
