Tin foil to remove stains? The eye-opening way to iron

IT turns out we've been doing our ironing wrong this whole time.

To get stubborn creases out of your clothes, the experts at Good Housekeeping say you need to grab a roll of tin foil, reports The Sun.

Place the aluminium foil underneath your ironing board cover, shiny-side up.

They say; "Foil reflects heat, so it will improve your crease-removal speed on hard-to-iron garments".

But this isn't the only need-to-know laundry hack to help make your chores a doddle.

According to Lifehacker, throwing a couple of ice cubes into your tumble dryer with your dry, wrinkled clothes will help remove the creases.

They recommend running the machine on its hottest setting for a couple of minutes, before taking the garments out and shaking them.

The trick has a similar effect to using the steam setting on your iron.

The experts recommend not overfilling the dryer and trying it out on thinner materials, such as blouses or shirts.

You don't want your clothes to come out wet so make sure you don't go overboard with the ice cubes.

We are adding these to our list of best household hacks along this $2 trick that will save you time cleaning the shower and the only way to make sure your kitchen sponge is clean.
