There are ways to help Police locate your mobile phone

There are numerous free apps available for download on your smart phones which can assist in locating your devices if they are ever lost or stolen.

Police recommend that everyone considers the use of these applications to help recover property.

Police urge not to try and recover the device yourself that in the instances where it is stolen and you are able to locate it via these GPS tracking apps.

Report it to police and let them know that you've got information about the location of your stolen phone.

The more information you have, the more likely police are able to recover the phone for you.

Police also recommend that you password protect your phone and record the IMEI number for future reference.
