Help needed on Fraser Coast for Red Shield appeal

LT ADELE Williams spends every working hour helping those in need at the Maryborough Salvation Army Corps.

"It's not just those down and out anymore," she said.

"There are many people who are struggling."

While her life's mission is helping those who can't afford the basics, including food and clothing, she can't do it alone.

The annual Red Shield Appeal will be held from this Saturday until next, with a $4000 target set to be raised by the Maryborough Corps.

Volunteers are needed to help out and carry collection buckets at Station Square Shopping Centre throughout the week.

Lt Williams hopes as many people as possible will help out.

To volunteer, ring the Maryborough Salvation Army Corps office on 4121 3643.
