OUR next Meeting will be on Monday, June 17. Venue will be South Tweed Sports Club, Minjungbal Drive, South Tweed in the downstairs auditorium. Guest speaker for May was Kim Martin "Bio organic solutions for soil and plants". Our June Guest Speaker will be Sue Gaskill "Growing beautiful African Violets. The hall opens at 8am for entry and benching, with the general meeting commencing at 9.30am. Cuttings and Trading Tables will commence selling at 8.15am, so come along and snap up a bargain.

Cost: $4 paid at the door, includes morning tea. If you're benching, it closes at 9.15am. Raffles, lucky door prizes and more. Hope to see you there, bring a friend and a coffee mug to help save the planet.

ART EXHIBITION

SOLO art exhibition by local pastel artist Terri Bradley will be held from May 20-31s, weekdays 9am-4pm at the GCCC Community Centre at Kirra Hill behind the Iron Eagle. The exhibition is of pastel paintings and all are for sale.

A Donation of 10% of all sales will be made to Four-Paws Australia who rescue injured animals and nurse them back to good health.

ANNUAL CRAFT SHOW

THE Ballina Hospital Auxiliary will once again be holding their Annual Craft Show over two days, June 15 and 16 at the Ballina Jockey Club. There will be 50 exhibitors selling a variety of crafts including quilting, woodwork, art, jewellery, clothing and knitting. The Auxiliary will also have their own stalls selling craft, plants and homemade jams and pickles. Refreshments will be available from the "Lamp Cafe" run by the ladies of the Auxiliary.

We purchased equipment in excess of $80,000 from July 2018 to February 2019, which includes special ED Trolleys, Defibrillator and Pulse Oximeters. We have also purchased a "SonoSite" portable scanner at a cost of $65,000 for use in the ED which will help in the diagnosis of critical ill patients.

Please visit us again this year and help us to raise even more funds for our local Ballina Hospital.

WE HAVE a variety of classes, which are held Monday-Friday. Windows Ten classes are on Mondays at 11.30am. WE ARE holding a High tea/fashion parade on Wednesday, June 12 at Tweed Heads Civic Centre, Brett & Wharf Sts Tweed Heads. Doors open 9.30am for 10am start. Lots of fashions from local establishments and a delicious High Tea. There will door prizes, raffles and lots of fun. Tickets are $20 each. Tables of up to 8 can be booked. Single tickets can also be purchased.
