WE MEET on the third Wednesday of the month at Burleigh Heads Surf Lifesaving Club. Morning tea is enjoyed at 10 am, followed by a meeting at 10.30 am, which includes an interesting speaker. WE HAD an interesting outing to the Ballina Maritime Museum and our club celebrated its 30th Anniversary at our meeting, with previous Presidents still in the club speaking on their experiences. Retired or semi-retired men are invited to join us at Club Meetings, 10am, on the third Monday of each month at Burleigh Waters Community Centre, 131 Christine Ave. Burleigh Waters. Hastings Point/Tweed Coast

OUR next meeting will be on Tuesday, March 19 at 10 am at Tricare Community Village, 87 Tweed Coast Road, Hastings Point. The speaker will be Yvonne Turner who has many amusing stories to tell from her varied activities in the WRANS, as a business woman and as a prison officer. WE MEET at the Paradise Point Bowls Club on the third Monday of each month at 10am. Next meeting is on March 18. A guest speaker and morning tea is enjoyed with friends. THE Southport Military Heritage Museum will again open from Sunday, March 3 from 9am until noon. display, honouring some of "Our forgotten ANZACS" and more. MEMBERS of Burleigh Palm Beach VIEW Club held their AGM in February and elected a new committee. These members are now ready to organise events to raise funds for The Smith Family's Learning for Life programs and to offer fun and friendship activities for their members. Twin Towns Day

WE MEET on the first Thursday of the month which makes our next meeting on the April 4. The venue is the South Tweed Sports Club. Guest Speakers on all topics are a regular occurrence as well as a magical meeting place for ladies of any age to gather for camaraderie. As well as providing a great and convenient meeting place, the chef at the Sports club provides tasty, healthy invigorating meals for our two course meal costing $25. We meet at 10.30am for 11am DST for an interesting talk on our Coming Events. as well as news of our supporters The Smith Family and as we support seven Learning for Life students, we are regularly blessed with information on any advances with their education. OUR next meeting will be held at the Southport Yacht Club from 11.30am on March 20. The Club meets on the third Wednesday of each month for a delicious luncheon at the picturesque Southport Yacht Club, Macarthur Parade, Main Beach overlooking the Broadwater. A FREE 'Retirement Living Options' sessions will be presented by lawyers from Caxton Legal Centre on the Gold Coast in April.
