Grandfather suprises wife with sweetest gift

Grandfather surprise wife with sweetest birthday dance

A DANCE with someone you love can be so simple but hold more meaning than meets the eye. So much more.

Just ask the grandparents of Josh Giovanni.

Mr Giovanni's grandmother hasn't twirled across the dancefloor in four years with her husband unable to keep his balance or walk by himself.

But to celebrate her birthday, the patriarch of the Giovanni family surprised his wife of 50 years with the most heart-felt of gifts: taking her hand for one more dance.

In a video posted to Twitter, the Giovanni statesman sits on a stairlift holding his wife's hands, while she twirls gracefully to the music playing in the background.

"My grandma hasn't danced in 4 years due to my grandpa getting older and not being able to keep balance nor walk by himself," Mr Giovanni wrote in a message accompanying the video.

"Today is her birthday and she finally got to dance with him."
