Gold Coast City Choir come and join in the fun!

The Gold Coast City Choir

We are a mixed voice choir that has been entertaining the Gold Coast since 1969.

This year the Choir has a new director, new repertoire, new direction and they want new members! Anyone interested in finding out more can come along to an Open Rehearsal from 7pm on Tuesday 1 March at the Church of Good Shepherd, 4 Tarrant Drive in Mudgeeraba.

New repertoire is the key feature of the new direction taken by the Choir.

While maintaining its traditional warm choral sound, its new programmes feature more contemporary music, which were well received by audiences last year.

This year one of its concerts will be built around the music of George and Ira Gershwin, Leonard Bernstein and others.

New musical director, Sue Roberts, said, "It's a great time to join our Choir as we head in a new direction. Come and join us! Look out for information about all of our upcoming performances. We have a busy performance schedule, having performed at fourteen venues last year. This year we will perform three new major programmes at Easter, in August and at Christmas. Throughout the year we will also give a number of smaller concerts and will be appearing at various community events. We are looking forward to a great year!"
