Palm Beach Christmas by the Sea

An annual event at Palm Beach Parklands where there'll be Christmas carols, face painting, barnyard animals, live entertainment and a visit from Santa. Enjoy food and drink available from Dune Café and variety of food stalls which includes a sausage sizzle, fun floss, snow cones and more.

DECEMBER 17:

Nerang Celebrates Christmas

Bring a chair or rug and enjoy an afternoon entertainment program.

It is featuring local artists and school bands, huge evening program with traditional carols and a visit from Santa and Rudolf.

You can buy ride passes for the kids.

Food and drinks will be available before fireworks finale at 8.30pm.

Southport Yacht Club Carols on the Broadwater

Head to the Southport Yacht Club for festivities such as Santa's arrival from the North Pole at 5.30pm, a live band singing all of your favourite Christmas carols.

There'll be face painting and plenty of waterfront fun.

Upper Coomera Highland Reserve Christmas in the Park

With pre- entertainment from 5pm and carols from 6.30pm, this Highland Reserve-based event is a family-friendly community event and Crosslife Baptist Church is presenting simply carols in the park.

DECEMBER 18:

Christmas Chill at Links

Relax on the clubhouse lawns and enjoy carols by candlelight performances from Coomera Anglican College and other artists. There'll be entertainment for the kids, raffle, candles, glow sticks, drinks and food available, no BYO.

Money raised from event to benefit Links Hope Island Community Project, One Girl.

Surfers Paradise Carols on the Beach

Held under the star on the picturesque Surfers Paradise Beach, bring a blanket, some chairs and enjoy an evening of song and family fun.

Hosted by Charli Robinson from Sea FM, there'll be an all Aussie line-up of carols talent.

Cost: Free

Jacobs Well Carols

Children will be entertained from 5.30pm. There will be a visit from Santa at 6.30pm before community carols performed by some great local artists.

Fireworks will end the night with a bang about 8pm and there'll be food, drinks and glow sticks to buy.

DECEMBER 20-24

2016 Christmas Lights Bus Tours

The City will once again be hosting the Christmas Lights Competition and Murray's Coaches will co-ordinate bus tours.

The tours depart nightly from The Arts Centre Gold Coast at 7pm.

It will return by 10pm.

Cost: From $10 to $15 (online booking).
