Gold awarding-winning tours for the over-50s

BRISBANE'S over 50s tourism market continues to thrive with South East Queensland-based operator Fun Over Fifty recognised on a national scale, taking out a Gold award in the Tour and Transport Operations category at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards in Darwin recently.

The home-grown family business that operates cruise, air, coach, and rail tours across Queensland, received the award in front of 730 people at the awards dinner held at the Darwin Convention Centre.

"It's great to see Fun Over Fifty recognised on a national scale as it's such a fantastic service that caters to a travel-hungry market and showcases Queensland in all its beauty,” Mr Gschwind from Queensland Tourism Industry Council said.

"A true family business, you know when you take a tour with Fun Over Fifty you're going to get the experience you deserve and that's been proven with them winning the Gold award.”

Fun over Fifty presents a range of boutique tours designed specifically for the seniors market in New Zealand promoting every state and territory in Australia.

The tours are fully escorted and itineraries are designed with the active senior in mind.

"We are proud to have been recognised within the tourism industry as leaders in their field,” Toni Brennan, CEO said.
