Glasshouse Country VIEW Club is Staying Safe

AT THE recent luncheon meeting on Wednesday May 18, Glasshouse Country VIEW Club's speaker was Constable Susan Lowndes from Beerwah station.

Susan gave us many tips on staying safe within the home and community as well as discussing the ever increasing scams that we receive via emails. Thanks Susan for a very interesting and informative talk.

Our president Linda Flanagan presented Lyn Moss with her 10 year pin. Well done Lyn; we now have quite a number of 10 year members in our club.

On Wednesday June 15 at 10.30am for 11.00am, we will be celebrating our 13th birthday party, where the theme will be Rock 'n Roll. We are expecting quite a turnout this year including guests from other VIEW clubs. If you can remember back to the "good ol'days" you will know what to wear!

During this year's International Women's Day celebrations, we heard from many students whose lives were dramatically changed by the financial support they received from the Learning for Life programme. This is the feedback that encourages us to continue raising money to support under privileged Australian children with their schooling.

We always welcome new members; just turn up to one of our meetings or outings. For more information, please phone Lynda on 5494 7875 or Maree on 5494 6956.
