THERE is a bit of glamour out at the Optus Gympie Music Muster this year – Glamour Crew, a mobile beauty and hairdressing salon has set up camp for the first time at the country music festival.

The business is the brainchild of Lash Me (an eyelash extension business) owner Katrina Beckett, a three-year Muster patron.

“I knew it was needed. There are always girls who want a bit of pampering or some makeup,” Ms Beckett said.

Now Glamour Crew is serving the hair and beauty needs of men and women out at Amamoor Creek.

“We do hair, makeup, eyelash extensions, waxing, spray tans and sell convenience goods.” the Brisbane-based beautician said. More interestingly plenty of men have taken to the idea of a bit of glamming up, with one coming in for a beard straightening, another for a back wax.

“We’ve had so many requests from girls and guys.

“This is Glamour Crew’s first festival, but we hope for many more in the future.

“A lot of people are embracing it. It’s good because we’re all about glam things.

“We call it glamping!”

It is not only patrons that are looking for a bit of sprucing up at the Glamour Crew operation.

Artists at the Muster have booked in including debut solo Gympie performer Stephanie Ward-Wrigley.
