Gatsby-era fundraising event has real Silver Lining
THE Great Gatsby era comes to Maroochydore this Friday night for a special charity fundraiser.
The Darling Gatsby Spectacular is a a 1920s-style evening filled with jazz music, dancing, wines, canapés, gallery auctions and prizes to be won.
The event is in aid of the Silver Linings Project which focuses on women who have overcome their health challenges and are now living a vibrant, healthy life.
They have been partnered with prominent designers who create bespoke pieces for them to wear for a photoshoot with the images to be included in a book. A special interview with the Silver Linings models will be held on the night at Pacific Jaguar in Sugar Rd from 6.30-9.30pm.
Silver Linings director Manuela Darling will also be given the platform to tell her remarkable story, including the amazing history behind the project. The fundraiser event aims to raise required funds to the print a beautiful coffee table book that will be provided to hospital waiting rooms from which people can draw inspiration.
