Royal Commission to investigate ADF abuse claims

ALLEGATIONS of abuse in the Australian Defence Force Cadets and the navy's recruitment centre at HMAS Leeuwin will be investigated by the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.

The royal commission will study potential child sexual abuse within Defence, focusing on allegations in the cadets at the Army Apprentices School at Balcombe in Victoria and at Fremantle's Leeuwin cadets from 2000 to now.
