FIRST IMAGES: South-east Queensland hit by flooding

A SEVERE weather alert for southeast Queensland, with flash flooding and up to 500mm of rain to fall.

IN these first images, we see the immense rainfall coming from ex-Cyclone Debbie, even before it has arrived.

Schools across the state have been closed from Agnes Water to the NSW border and out to Nanango, on top of those already shut down in Central Queensland after the cyclone crossed the coast earlier this week.
