Fireworks and laser display set to illuminate the night

A 'FIREWORKS and Laser Arena Spectacular' is set to illuminate the night time stars above the Nambour Showgrounds as part of the Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show's fresh, new program.

Opening this Friday, June 10 and running through June 12, each night, will be an evening arena spectacular, telling the story of the night sky using lasers, puppetry, fire, huge screens, live performers, incredible fireworks and live music.

The theatrical event is narrated by Lyndon Davis of the Gubbi Gubbi dancers, with original music by the great Mattie Aitchison (formally of Oka) commissioned especially for the show and including electric performances by locally based world music entertainers Matty and Lauren James.

Night Sky Dreaming tells the story of the night sky - from then to now and into the future. It also tells our human story, reminding us to take time out to come together, to celebrate, and to look up to the stars to ignite our imaginations.

It's theatre, it's spectacle, it's the very best of story-telling around the campfire - and it's happening right here on the Sunshine Coast!

The free in-show entertainment is said to be like no other. It is scheduled to start at 8pm and finish at 8:30pm every night of the show from Friday June 10 through Sunday June 12, leaving plenty of time for those making the most of the free bus interchange from the Nambour Showgrounds to the Nambour Transit Centre.

The Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show runs June 10-12 at the Nambour Showgrounds.

Prices $10 per adult, $5 for 5-12 years and FREE for those Under 5. Pre-Purchase your tickets to the Show to go into the draw to win a $500 visa gift card, thanks to the Heritage Bank for their partnership.

Tickets can be purchased at the Nambour Showgrounds Show Office (07) 5441 2766 or at any Heritage Bank branch on the Sunshine Coast! www.sunshinecoastshow.asn.au
