Fancy business class around the world for $3k?

Ever dreamt of flying round-the-world in business class? Unless you're an avid points collector or a frequent corporate traveller, it's a dream that will stay exactly that - until now.

Escape Travel (no affiliation) has just posted an incredible deal, offering round-the-world business class airfares with Virgin starting from as low as $3095 per person.

"It has never been this cheap in the history of ever," says Escape Travel agent, Jose Bishop, when we called to enquire about the deal.

"This airfare would usually retail at over $12,000 per person."

Bishop says the store has already been flooded with enquiries to take up this incredible deal.

The RTW fares are for three stops, originating from Australia and dropping by Hong Kong, London and Los Angeles before returning to Australia (or reverse order).

The Hong Kong leg of the journey is via Melbourne, but whether you do that first or last is up to you. So if you're not from Melbourne, it's effectively a four-stop journey and Bishop recommends travelling the Hong Kong leg first rather than last.

"If you go to Hong Kong first, you can get a direct flight back from LAX and you don't have to pick up your bags in Melbourne," he says.

Regardless of your originating city, however, the prices are largely the same and vary only according to your travel dates.

While Bishop has seen prices as low as $3095, he says the fares are entirely dependent on the customer's travel dates and most are around the mid to high $3K mark.

The business class fares include lounge access and allow for two 32kg check-in bags.

Travel dates are specified as between July 5 and September 26, but Bishop says depending on your travel dates you may be able to get the fare for travel in December, January and February.

If you want to lock in the discount fares, Bishop says the best way is to contact your local travel agent as soon as possible as the sale ends May 20.

The sale isn't available online, so contact your local travel agent, but if you don't have one feel free to email Jose Bishop at with your preferred routing, travel dates and passenger names as it's shown on your passport.
