Fairholme riders named State equestrian captains
YOUR STORY: Interschool equestrian focuses on disciplines including showjumping, dressage, show horse, eventing and combined training.
Each discipline requires a team captain, selected from 42 schools and 76 riders by Interschool Queensland (IQ), who, together, will make up the team to represent Queensland at the National competition from September 28 to October 3.
Fairholme College is well and truly represented at State level by Loretta Morris named as Captain of Showjumping and Tory Robertson named as Captain of Show Horse.
This is a huge achievement for the girls and a testament to their skills and commitment to the sport.
This will be Loretta's second year competing at National level, while for Tory this year caps off an extremely successful Equestrian involvement with both Fairholme and IQ; it's her 5th year competing at Nationals for Fairholme in the State Team.
Other Fairholme College girls in the State team are Claudia Dight (Senior Novice Dressage), Phoebe Riordan (Intermediate Novice Dressage), Meg Gillan (110cm Showjumping) and Becky Gillan (120cm Showjumping).
Considering the comparatively small number of riders within the Fairholme Equestrian Team, we are extremely well represented within the State team.
