Students dance to raise funds for children's hospital

STUDENTS of FAD Cheer and Dance will be dancing for charity on Saturday at Downlands College.

They are dancing to raise funds for Couee Community, which is part of the Royal Children's Hospital in Brisbane.

Students as young as three will brave their nerves, the lights and audience to perform on stage.

For many of the dancers it will be their first time on stage.

Styles will range from jazz, hip hop and cheerleading.

For just a gold coin donation, you are guaranteed an action-filled event with fun and energetic performances.

A barbecue will be provided for lunch.

Couee Community Foundation was started by the same team that began Swim4kids in 2007 and has raised more than $1 million and donated more than $500,000 for the Royal Children's Hospital in Brisbane.

The Couee Community charity was set up to help others, individuals, social service groups, communities, schools, and other non for profits that might slip through the cracks and not qualify for assistance or funding through mainstream channels.

Couee Community exists to improve the lives of persons and communities in need or experiencing disability or disadvantage by providing funds to access services, programs, receive goods, or other benefit that eases any disadvantage.

Sponsor's support and generous donations enable Couee Community to fundraise and assist individuals, organisations and charities in need.

So by what we are doing today is just a small act of kindness that touches the lives of more than 100,000 children and their families.

This really lifts their spirits and gives them hope for the further so again thank you for your kind generosity helping sick children in need.
