Elderly woman in crash on Bruce Hwy interchange

UPDATE 3.15PM: The elderly woman involved in a two-vehicle crash on the Bruce Highway Caloundra interchange has escaped serious injury. 

Paramedics were called to the intersection of Caloundra Rd and Steve Irwin Way at Glenview after the crash about 2.30pm, on the western side of the highway. 

They said the woman did not have any obvious injuries.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said the woman was offered transport to hospital as a precaution but declined. 

The crash caused minor delays for motorists, but traffic is now flowing normally. 
 

BREAKING 2.50PM: Paramedics are assessing an elderly woman after a two-vehicle crash on a busy Bruce Highway interchange. 

Crews were called to the intersection of Caloundra Rd and Steve Irwin Way at Glenview after the crash about 2.30pm.

The intersection is on the western side of the Bruce Highway's Caloundra interchange. 

Paramedics on scene have reported the woman has no obvious injuries, but are yet to decide whether she will be taken to hospital. 

The crash has not blocked the road, and while traffic has slowed past the scene motorists should not expect long delays.
