A MAN escaped without serious injury after his car ploughed into a Toowoomba unit complex yesterday afternoon.

A unit in the Rifle Range Rd complex was extensively damaged after the front end of the car was buried deep in the unit.

The driver, believed to be an elderly man, escaped without injury after his foot got caught on the accelerator.

He had managed to get himself out of the wreck before emergency services arrived on scene about 4.20pm.

The vehicle was removed and the damage repaired by the real estate.

The man was left shaken by the incident.
