Elderly man in hospital after snake bite to the head

A man is in hospital after a snake bite at Redbank late last night.
Queensland Ambulance Service report that the incident at Kruger Parade occurred at about 10pm.
Paramedics at the scene treated a man in his late 70s for a bite to the head.
He was later taken to Ipswich Hospital in a stable condition.
The type of snake is not known at this stage.
