Dog squad tracks down alleged burglar at Wondunna

A 38-YEAR-old man has been tracked down by the police dog squad on Thursday morning after allegedly fleeing the scene of an attempted break and enter at Wondunna.

Sergeant Darryn Morris said the Torquay man fled after he was allegedly disturbed by the owner of the Mungara Ct home at 5.52am.

"There was an altercation between (the occupant and alleged offender)," he said.

Sgt Morris said the man was located about an hour later by the dog squad.
