THE impact of David Bowie's death on Monday is reflected in today's weekly ARIA charts results.

Seventeen of the late rock singer's albums currently feature in the Top 100 albums, with his 25th and final release Blackstar debuting at No 1.

It's Bowie's first No 1 debut on the ARIA albums chart as his 1980 hit Scary Monsters and 1983's Let's Dance were No 1 prior to the introduction of the ARIA charts in July 1983.

There are 13 Bowie albums in ARIA's Top 50 albums chart including Nothing Has Changed (The Best Of David Bowie) at No 3 behind Adele's 25, Best Of Bowie at No 9 and The Best Of David Bowie 1969/1974 at No 14.

It matches the record, for most albums in the Top 50 by a single artist, set by Michael Jackson after his passing in July 2009.
