FALLS Festival organisers better jump quick-smart on the phone and thank the man who inspired their end-of-the-year event to sell-out in NSW's Byron Bay and Lorne in Victoria.

Australian senior royalty Daryl Braithwaite!

That's right! The 68-year-old singer has done what no other performer could do and taken the reins of the country-wide festival and dragged it to the punters - like the proverbial horse to water.

Sure, other groups such as Flume, Fleet Foxes, Run The Jewels and The Kooks may be listed as the "headline acts", but that's the beauty of Braithwaite: he doesn't need top billing to get the crowds through the gate!

Perhaps the millennials and the Generation X and Y-ers will take in the likes of Glass Animals and Peking Duk, but once our Daryl takes the stage, hold on to your hats kids!

Only one question remains: when will Braithwaite bust out 'The Horses' during his set?

But hopefully we will have that answer sooner than expected when Seniors News talk to the man himself - keep an eye out for that story!
