Cuteness overload: Mini massage for a Cairn Terrier puppy
WHEN we adopted our little Cairn terrier-cross we had no idea she was expecting a litter of pups.
She is now the proud mum of four gorgeous little pups.
What a surprise for our family! We went from knowing nothing about dogs having puppies, to being totally involved in a real live doggy birthing experience!
Three little girls were born first, and the last was a little boy, he is the little one in the video. When this little boy was born, he was not moving and not making a sound, despite his Mum franticly licking him. We were pretty worried.
After a few minutes, which felt like forever, I took the little pup and rubbed him vigorously with a towel until I heard a faint little squeak and he started to squirm.
We were so relieved and put him back with his mum for some more licking and a feed. Two weeks later we took this video of him relaxed and warm getting a comforting massage/rub.
He is now the biggest of all the pups, and also the sookiest which is why I think he liked the massage so much, oh, and he does get a bit spoilt being the only boy and giving us such a fright when he was born!
