Crash covers busy street in gravel from landscaping truck

POLICE were forced to divert traffic off Alice St in Maryborough on Thursday morning, after a car and a landscaping truck collided at an intersection.

Incoming and outgoing traffic was diverted through nearby side streets, while emergency services officers worked to remove debris from the road.

The truck and car collided on the corner of Alice and Morning St at about 9am, covering the road in gravel and sand from the rear of the truck.

Maryborough Queensland Fire and Rescue Service station officer Shane Charman said officers had called for a street sweeper to clean the gravel from the road.

"The crash looks a lot worse than it was," Mr Charman said.

"But both drivers were not injured."
