READERS DISCUSS: Lack of funds for CQ's DV issue from Feds

THE domestic violence fund allocation announcement has already been the source of public outcry in Central Queensland after it was declared that only Townsville and areas within Brisbane and the Gold Coast would receive funds for specialised domestic violence legal support pilot programs.

The omission of Rockhampton, despite its historically high rate of domestic violence, enraged some readers on The Morning Bulletin's Facebook page:

Cheryl Erickson Karaban: NO! Especially as being listed as one of the leading cities to be disadvantaged to which includes domestic violence? I mean really.

Terrence Lucus: We don't seem to have much success getting anything done for this region when it comes to federal funding.

Cherith Weis: VERY disappointing. I thought CQ was also a DV Hot Spot.
