Corgis share happy memories of life with human

YOUR STORY: Our Owner - as told by her two corgis.

We know from our dear owner that she has supported many pets over the years. We sincerely admire her for that. Cats, hamsters, fish, and bunnies and, most important to us, dogs.

Let us introduce ourselves. I am senior dog, so I will go first.

I am J.P. Tucker Pembroke. Being a Welsh Corgi, I am feeling quite acceptable in the world as I am agreeable with children, other dogs and most humans.

My human bought me when I was a baby from her good friends and corgi breeders Peggy and George, who live in the USA.

I was introduced to my human shortly after my birth and she immediately fell in love with me and paid for me on the spot.

I remained with my mother Furbie until I was eight weeks old and then my human came to collect me and our journey together began.

I knew right away I was in for a fun and enjoyable life. We did marvellous walks together and the treats were numerous.

My human always thought I should have a companion and that is when the fun began.

She was checking out the local SPCA for a kitten when she found a corgi instead. My human loved the story To Kill a Mockingbird, so my new mate was named Atticus Finch - after the lawyer in the book.

I will give my mate Atticus a chance to speak now.

The day I saw my human, I knew my fate had done a complete reverse. I knew I owned her heart and soul.

Alas, one day our human met and fell in love with an Aussie fellow and moved to OZ. She could not take us, but did the next best thing. She made arrangements with Peggy and George, whom I mentioned earlier, to keep us.

When our human can she visits us and we have never ever forgotten or will we forget our human. We stay in touch with FaceTime etc

She has told us she loves us more than most people and told her children that. Now that is funny. That went over well as you can imagine. We both roll with laughter when we think of that one.

We are sure our human has some faults. But needless to say, so do we. We forgive her and she has always forgiven us ours, which are very few in our estimation.

Our human would like everyone who reads this to give time and effort to help animals in distress.

A great way is to donate things to the local RSPCA in OZ and your time too if you can.

Just be there and let them know there are humans who care. If you can, adopt.

My human will tell you there is no greater feeling than to know you have helped save an animal.

We love our human and we know she loves us.
